On May 12 Rally

Yesterday, the “Who Cares? I Do.” Campaign joined teachers, unions, and New Yorkers from many diverse groups for the On May 12 March on Wall Street. An estimated 20,000 people assembled at different locations throughout lower Manhattan before converging on the financial district. It is estimated that there were over 1,000 people at the Human Services assembly site. A series of “teach-ins” were part of the activities, and HSC’s Allison Sesso conducted a teach-in on human services. We would like to thank all the supporters who came to yesterday’s rally; you showed how important the human services sector is to New York. Below are pictures of the day’s events.
